Clark's birthday and January happenings

Clark turned 5! He was pretty excited for his birthday. He had a mile long list of what he wanted for his birthday (despite the fact that Christmas was a month ago). He asked for yet another Pokemon cake, this year he chose Haunter. For gifts he got a Pokemon book, figurines which he is still playing with daily, and some legos. His lego skills are pretty impressive.

We went sledding as a family to celebrate. It was a fun time. We've had a lot of snow in Utah the last couple of weeks.

He really wanted to play with his best friend for his birthday too, so we had Dean over the day after for a play date. They had a great time together.
Clark is learning to read and loves to play. He doesn't want to be bothered with meals or snacks because it would mean taking a break from legos or Pokemon toys. He's always trying to get someone to play his games or build things with him. Yesterday he was working on Timothy, he said, "Timmy, come on be my buddy, just say yes." Haha, he says the funniest things.

Early in January I drove up to Idaho for Pierre's baby blessing. It was just close family and it was really nice. Pierre is getting so big, he is 3 months now!

Other happenings this month...

The kids enjoy using their allowance on Amazon purchases. Braden has been learning about dinosaur fossils at school and bought himself this dino digging kit. Clark is constantly building things and asking me to take pictures so he can remember how he built it. We take each of the kids on a date each month. This month Paul took Susie to the shooting range and Braden and I went out to lunch at a new sandwich place.

The pregnancy is coming along. This first picture is 24 weeks I think and then the last one is 27 or so. It's fun to look forward to meeting our new brother or sister.

More good news, Paul was able to get the vaccine! He didn't have any bad side effects so that was good.

Preschool has been going well. We learned about animal classification in January and now we are learning about the body.

We try to have a date every week. Sometimes we do at home date nights and sometimes we go out. When we are at home we set the kids up with a movie on the lap top and it's fun to watch them snuggle together.
