We are back to school and summer is over but here at a lot of pictures I wanted to record. It's been a pretty good summer despite the pandemic.
We finished most of our summer bucket list and ended our reading race just before school started. Susie smoked us all, as usual. I was pretty excited to make my goal, 2,650 pages. Braden made his goal also! The kids got 25 cents a state and bone, Susie ended up earning about $12 and Braden about $8.
My neighbor took a few photos for us to update the ones in the house.
We took a few fun hikes with the kids and they did pretty well. We're lucky to have some fun, kid-friendly trails around.
We had a few family weddings, happy times! One we attended virtually and went to the reception on the other.
We had a boredom buster list of fun things to try, including building marshmallow structures.
Paul's parents built a house in Utah and Paul was able to go up and help load up and say good bye to his childhood home in Rexburg.
We celebrated Father's Day with home made rolls and cauliflower bacon pasta.
Since the pandemic we have been meeting with the West family for a home church lesson and that has been great.
We tie-dyed shirts!
We had a fun get together when Jon and Kylee were in Utah visiting.
Clark and I had a fun date last month. We decided to do a random acts of kindness date. We picked flowers, then went to the dollar store for vases and candy and delivered it to a few family members. Clark loves Aspen so he was excited to stop by and see her.
We took a few little trips up to Idaho to see family and friends and Bear World!
Susie and I took a girls day up to Soda to see Grandma and learn how to pickle green beans. We had the best time.
I also made some pretty delicious blackberry strawberry jam.
We had a stop by, kick off the new school year, primary activity. The kids had to try to kick the ball on the target and then pick up an otter pop. It was fun to see all the children. We miss Primary!
We have enjoyed having the sacrament and studying Come Follow Me at home. We made our own Title of Liberty. We set a goal at the beginning of the summer to memorize all of the Articles of Faith and we did it! Well, we are still working on #13, but we're close!
Clark comes upstairs in the middle of the night way too often. Part of me kind of loves it :)
Paul bought a handgun and has had some fun with it. Now he wants 12 other guns.
We had a last-hurrah summer activity the day before school started. We bought donuts at Bowman's in Kaysville (holy moly) and went to the splash park. It was great fun.
Now we are back to school and hoping that life gets back to normal someday.
