We had fun celebrating the New Year. We take down our Christmas stuff pretty quick but we like to leave our tree up so we can decorate a New Years tree. We put streamers and noisemakers and balloons on our tree. In each balloon there is an activity hidden that we can do during the day.
The kids loved popping the balloons to find an activity. Some of the activities were go to Chick-Fil-A, a Come Follow Me activity, the donut eating race (we do this one every year now), and a game we call "save the children" were we hide sour patch kids and cover them with whip cream. You have to find the sour patch kid in 10 seconds, no hands allowed.
We made a fort and watched a movie with popcorn and then a countdown on Netflix.
I love making plans so January has been exciting. We've made some fun plans for trips, dates, service projects, and resolutions. Plus I get to hang out with these cute boys everyday. Here's to 2019!
