We have had such a great summer it was sad to see it come to an end! We tried to make the most of our last week before school started. We went to the Dinosaur Museum in Ogden that we've been wanting to visit. It was really cool! They even have a few animatronic dinosaurs that were awesome.
We invited friends over for make-it-Monday, we went to story time at the library one last time, visited the mall aquarium, and did a service scavenger hunt for thoughtful-Thursday.
Class lists came out the week before school started and Susie was so excited that a boy in her kindergarten class that she had a crush on is also in her first grade class. His name is Hagen. Her teacher's name is Mrs. Barker.
Susie and I went on a back to school date. It was so much fun! She was so excited to pick out a new lunch box. She kept telling me that this was the best day of her life!
This is the night before the first day of school. She stayed up a few minutes later than the boys to prep her lunches for the week. So exciting!
I think 1st grade has been a lot harder for me than kindergarten. She will be gone all day and I'll miss her so much! She is so grown up!
The day after Susie's first day was Braden's first day of preschool! I am so excited for a new year of preschool. We have such a great class. Braden is struggling a little bit to listen to mom as his teacher. So far there have been some tantrums and fits but I'm hoping he improves as the year goes on. The rest of the class is doing great. It is really fun to be teaching again!
