April Fools, Conference, and Birthday!

We had the funnest weekend! To trick the kids for April Fools we made jello and pretended it was fruit punch. The kids were so excited to have fruit punch with breakfast. They quickly realized they couldn't drink it up and were confused. Susie said "Mom I think mine is frozen." Then we yelled APRIL FOOLS!! And ate the jello of course. I tricked Paul also. I had a pregnant friend of mine take a test and told him we were expecting. I know I'm terrible. I couldn't help it. We had a good laugh! We do want more but we aren't quite ready.

We made a big breakfast to kick off conference weekend. We weren't hungry until dinner!

We tried a new conference activity this time. We picked 5 words and put those pictures on cups and put pennies in the cups. Whenever the kids heard that word they took a penny from that cup and put it into their little bank. At the end of each session they got to spend their pennies in our little Conference store. Skittles were 2 cents, jelly beans were 1, etc. It was SO fun! The kids loved it and they actually listened! We will have to do this one again. Susie and I also colored ties together.

Sunday was my 30th birthday! I died laughing when I woke up and saw the banner Paul had made! Hilarious!! He hid 30 gifts or notes around the house for me to find. The kids and I had fun finding them all. He cooked a great dinner and we had family over for cake and ice cream. We are going to spend the night in SLC this weekend while Rebecca watches the kids. Best birthday ever!
