Susanna Turns 5!

I can't believe our little Susanna is 5! We had so much fun celebrating her birthday. Grandma Kat sent a present in this big box. She and Braden have had a lot of fun coloring it, watching movies in it, and pretending it's a rocket ship. In celebration of birthday week Susie got to pick all the meals we ate. She picked tacos, spaghetti and meatballs, rice and broccoli, homemade pizza, and her favorite- chicken pot pie casserole.

We didn't throw a friend party this year, instead Susie and I went on a fun birthday date. First we went to the mall and had Chick-Fil-A for lunch. Her favorite is the lemonade. We walked around the mall and Susie picked out a few things to buy. Then we went and got our nails done and finished with ice cream! It was a blast! She has been so excited for our date. When we finally got in the car to leave she said, "last night I was so excited for today I couldn't sleep!"

Susie loves surprising people with breakfast in bed so Paul thought we should surprise her. It required waking up even earlier than usual (and I'm still waking up in the middle of the night!) so we were groggy! Susanna could eat her weight in bacon so we made sure that was on the menu. We made pancakes too. She was very surprised and excited!

Later on her birthday we had family come over for cake and presents. She asked for a castle cake this year. My brother Mackenzie drove up from Salt Lake and she was so excited to see him. She loves Uncle Kenzie. She got a castle puzzle and a T-ball set from Mommy and Daddy. Uncle Kenzie bought her a big pack of crayons. Grandma Susie gave her a pretty outfit. Sam gave her a bag full of Frozen things, like Elsa chap stick etc. (she carries it around everywhere). Her favorite present was a Color-Me-Bunny Grandma Kat gave her. You color the bunny with markers and you can even wash it and start over! She spent 2 straight hours coloring it!

We let her stay up a little later and pop some popcorn. It was a great birthday! When we tucked her in she asked, "So can I go to school tomorrow?" Ha ha!

Susie is a wonderful little girl. She is a good listener and has such a tender heart. She loves coloring, doing puzzles, playing games like Go Fish, Candyland, and Chutes and Ladders. She loves watching Princess Sofia and Octonauts. She loves going to church and attending Primary- she's great at singing Primary songs. She is a awesome big sister. Braden drives her crazy sometimes but she is very forgiving and loving. They play well together most of the time. She loves little Clark too. She loves to talk to him and sing him songs. We love our Susie girl!
