School got out the end of May. We picked everyone up in the "party bus" again this year and had a little pizza and water balloon party with our carpool friends. Now that we have 5 kids we won't be able to carpool anymore, so sad! The kids are so excited for summer break! Party time!
We love having our new brother in the family. He's the cutest. All the kids are smitten, but Braden especially. He is always asking to hold him and talks to him all day.
We named him Henry Richard after my grandpa, Richard Garbett. We took Henry to visit him in the Veteran's home. We thought Henry's name sounded like British royalty and since he is the 5th kid we call him Henry the 5th. Paul was reading a book about the Plantagenets when he was born so he liked the name Henry a lot. We came up with his little royal birth announcement. I actually sent out the caboose one. (We're 99% sure he's the caboose!)
Here's a few more pictures of what we've been up to. Braden had a fun baseball season. He looks so cute in his ball cap. I love watching the games. Lots of baby snuggles and hanging out. Paul taught the older two kids to play Risk, which was a happy parenting moment for him. Susie, Braden, and Clark had a month of swim lessons. Susie is getting to be a good swimmer, but the other 2 still struggle. We've been on some fun family hikes and walks.
The Largey's moved to Utah recently so we are excited to have those cousins closer. Rachel and Cole came and spent a few days with us and it was really fun. We went to the zoo as a family before Paul's paternity leave was up.
The summer has been full of lots of games and reading and visits to the splash park.
A few of my siblings came up and went to Lagoon with Paul and the big kids. Mom stayed at home with me and watched Pierre. We had a fun day too!
