What a joy to celebrate our sweet Susanna! She has been looking forward to turning 10 because she could finally get her ears pierced. Grandma and Aunt Livy were up the weekend before her birthday so we kidnapped Susie and took her to Claires to get her ears pierced a week early. She did great, she didn't even flinch. She looks so cute with her little pearls.
Her birthday was on Sunday, so the Saturday before we went out for a lunch and shopping date. She wanted steak so we went to Texas Roadhouse. She spent her birthday money from Grandma West to buy a horse picture for her room at Hobby Lobby.
That night she had a late night with her best friend Gracie. They ate way too much sugar and we did gel manicures. They watched You Again and had a great time.
Sunday morning we had waffles with strawberries and cream and bacon for breakfast, her favorites! We opened a gift from Grandma Suzy while Facetiming, she gave her a neat book to put her new earrings in. We built a fort and had a lunch picnic. She got a cool butterfly kit for her birthday and a sketch book with pencils, a backpack purse, and the movie Selena. Susie wanted another Reeses peanut butter chocolate cake so that's what we had, and boy it was good. We had friends over for her favorite dinner. What a great birthday!
We all love Susie so much. She is so considerate and helpful. She reads her scriptures every day and wants to make good choices. She is a kind friend. She loves playing outside and is loves trying to draw new things. She is a joy.
