Paul's Birthday and Conference

Happy birthday Paul! We had a little Harry Potter party with the kids when he got home from work. We made some yummy snacks including a gummy treat tray and watched the Chamber of Secrets under our makeshift floating candle ceiling.

We kept celebrating with a Pizza challenge the next day. We got pizza from four different places and guessed where they were from and ranked them based on taste. Marcos pizza won hands down! No one liked Papa Johns. We loved watching conference.

We watched a Sunday session with Paul's parents. Mom West made one of his favorite childhood dinners and I brought a pull-apart cake to share. The kids love having Grandma and Grandpa closer.

Paul and I love having them closer too! We've probably asked them to babysit too many times already. They watched the kids while we hiked Mt Timpanogos the next week. We underestimated how hard it would be! I thought we'd be out of the mountains by 2 and have time for a nice meal before we picked up the kids. We were booking it and barely made it out by 6! It was steep and fun and I'm glad we made it to the summit!

We've been to Black Island farms and Cedar Crest farms for a preschool field trip and to get extra pumpkins.

We played Conference Jeopardy again with some neighbors which is always fun. The pumpkin roll was delish!

It's been a fun month so far!
