We always look forward to visiting Idaho whenever we can. We get our eyes checked at our favorite optometrist office at the beginning of each year so it's a fun little trip. I love to spend time in Rexburg because it's one of my favorite places, even in January when it's freezing. We usually take the kids around campus but we didn't make time that for this trip.
The kids got their eyes checked though and we all stayed close to the same, except Susie who now has a little astigmatism.
This optometrist office is where I worked all through college and where Paul and I first met. So we keep going, it's where it all began!
We stayed the night with Grandma and Grandpa West and had ice cream and popcorn. It's always a fun time. Paul was happy to stay the night because his parents are building a house in Utah and will soon be moving out of his childhood home. So we made sure to take a picture. We can't wait to have them closer!!
I have been wanting to try ice fishing so we asked Uncle Todd to take us. We went to Montpelier reservoir just up the street from his house. It was fun, and cold. Aunt Jen watched the two younger kiddos. Jaxson was the only one to catch a fish. We didn't last too long!
Here are the new glasses. I think they are all pretty cute.
