Happy Birthday Susie!

Little Susie turned 6 years old! She has been counting down to her birthday for weeks. Paul had to work on her actual birthday so we went on a family date to the Rush funplex a few days before. She brought her neighbor bff, Kenslie. We had a lot of fun!

A few days before Susie's birthday we went to see my friend Cassanda. They are birthday buddies! So we had cake with them at her house and played with all her 8 boys.

On birthday eve Susie helped me make her cake. She helps me every year. She asked for a dolphin cake this year. When she went to bed, Paul and I decorated. We made bacon for breakfast and strawberries, Susie's favorites! She got to open a few presents before school.

After school we dropped the boys off at the sitter and went to Chick-Fil-A, just us girls. It was so fun! We had a birthday interview and I asked her some fun questions. Susie wants to be a doctor when she grows up. She loves to read and watch Strawberry Shortcake.

She is now ok with being called "Susanna." When we signed her up for kindergarten we wrote Susanna on all her forms. She didn't understand for weeks why people wouldn't call her Susie. We've called her Susie her whole life! Whenever I went in to volunteer her friends would tell me, her name is not Susie, it's Susanna. Oooooh. Well she is finally used to being called Susanna. But she still prefers Susie. My cute Susie girl.

She has the biggest heart. She is kind and patient with her brothers. She loves to make people laugh and if very sensitive to others' feelings. She is doing great in school. Sometimes she sits alone at recess because she thinks no one wants to play with her, but we are working on confidence and being outgoing. She is a very sensitive girl.

We had family over for spaghetti and meatballs (her request) and cake. It was a great birthday!

Side note- we've dubbed March the official Spring Cleaning month. We have the kitchen and the master bedroom and both cold storages done. It's a lot of work but it's so nice when it's done!

And I thought this picture of Braden was so cute. He loves to help me make bread while Susie is at school and Clark is napping. He loves to eat the dough. The other day he told me to be a dough monster :)
