We had a nice long Christmas break. Susie and I flew into Las Vegas and Tiff picked us up and drove us home. We went 5 days before Paul because he still had school. Susie and I were actually really sick but we went anyway! We relaxed at home and loved spending time with everyone. Paul eventually drove up and then the Christmas festivities really began. We had our annual Christmas Eve Devotional where everyone (almost everyone) prepared a thought or performance to share the Christmas spirit. Olivia played a Silent Night Medley on the piano, Ty sang a few songs, Paul read the Christmas story in Luke, I read a poem, and Mom showed us a great video of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir singing "I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day." It was a wonderful reminder that even though there is evil and sadness in the world, we know that the good and the right will win in the end. God is not dead nor doth He sleep. The wrong shall fail, the right prevail with peace on earth goodwill toward men.
Grandma and Grandpa West came to Arizona to visit as well. When we got back from Cedar they drove up with Nicole from Tucson. They were able to spend a few days with us and Susie loved it. Grandma has a really fun fish tank app on her kindle and she and Susie had lots of bonding time.
